Marc has cultivated an extensive network of owners, managers and agents who have become his friends and trusted business associates. In NYC, Marc is known to have a “sterling” reputation for doing things the right way, with a strong, professional work ethic. His motto always has been “I will never take a shortcut with any owner or client, as my reputation is priceless.” He is also known for his extensive knowledge of the workings of rent stabilization and can be called upon to succinctly answer questions on just about anything in NYC real estate. His expert commentary frequently appears in the press.

Marc began his career as a young rental agent at Gardner, a brokerage company on the Upper East Side in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. He was promoted to partner/owner in 1976 when he showed an interest in developing relationships with landlords that has lasted to this day. It was there where he first met and worked with Michael Simon, (now CEO of Century 21 NY Metro). Marc hired Mike, offering him his first job out of college as an agent. When his partner left the business in 1988, Marc established Marc Lewis Realty, where he expanded his business and got more involved in the sale of buildings and development sites. He is a current member of REBNY.

Marc has a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from CUNY. He is a native of Westchester where he lives with his wife of 31 years. They have two children, 25 and 28 years old. He is an avid golfer and a big sports fan, supporting NYC teams such as the Yankees, Jets and Knicks. He is a supporter of the Breast Cancer Research foundation, the United Way and the Brain Tumor Foundation.
