I’ve sold many properties in the past, but have never worked with such professional people – it was actually an exciting experience!”

The J Team:
During the past half decade, Julie Darsses has teamed up with Jack Byrne, combining her 20-year, in-depth experience in Manhattan’s quality properties and her encyclopedic knowledge of the Eastside with Jack’s lifetime expertise in creative selling, communication and negotiation strategy. That partnership was widely known in the Manhattan real estate world as
Jack & Julie .

With the addition to the team of customer relations specialist, John Zakowski, the trio formed The J team . The team provides a unique and profitable experience for seller and buyer alike. The team markets properties from chateaux and estates in France and fine townhouses in Manhattan to the gamut of East Side Condo and Coop apartments. Having three points of contact, they are always available for customers and clients. Having three types of skills, the contact is always worthwhile.

Julie Darsses:
Julie was born in the sun-drenched Southwest of France, where the mountains meet the ocean, and grew up swimming in the sea off Biarritz and skiing the steep slopes of the Pyrenées. There, after Lycée, in a world of artists, she attended Law school, honing her business senses. But, marriage to the Comte de Mirande Baron de Queysac (she calls him “JP”) led her to life in Paris. Now in the world of business and finance, she focused her studies upon art and design at the famed “L’Ecole du Louvre”.

A quarter of a century ago, Julie and “JP” came to New York City for a planned “six-month visit”. In no time at all, they began an “affaire de coeur” with the city that has continued to this day. Once her son was “going to school on his own”, Julie directed her love of architecture and decoration to the real estate business, becoming licensed to buy and sell in 1985. After a decade as office manager of one of New York’s most prominent firms, she “moved out of the office and onto the street”. Julie found that having a mind trained in practicality in Law School and an eye trained to identify quality in architecture and interior design helped her help customers select dream homes that are also sound investments. Julie is a perpetual student of the Manhattan market. Give her a number on a street and odds are she will describe not only the building and neighborhood but floor plans of apartments within. She is known for both persistence and patience in searching for just the right fit of buyer and seller…and, for her devotion to Julien, her beloved grandson.
