| Graduating from the Dwight School on East 67th Street and then going to American University where he received his Associate Paralegal Degree from Marymount College, Mike Blass a Century 21 NY Metro broker is to say the least, a well rounded, educated individual.
With his diverse family real estate background, with his father, being an agent for basketball players, he also represented many of the biggest New York City landlords. His brother Jon has an active real estate practice and his other brother Peter is a Vice-President at Centerline which is a major commercial real estate lender. Mike started his real estate career at LBK Associates in the mid-80’selling buildings and other investment properties. He worked directly for Morris Sopher a major principal heading up his acquisitions department and bought and sold many buildings for his partners and himself. Following Morris’s unfortunate passing, Mike went to work for Marc Lewis Realty renting and selling apartments in Manhattan specializing in the Upper East Side. While working for Marc Lewis, he was able to rent apartments to several celebrity clients including Will Ferrell, Woody Allen, Kenny Albert, and others. Subsequently, Marc Lewis was then brought into Century 21 NY Metro and asked Mr. Blass to come join him to work on residential and commercial deals, and Mike accepted. To date, Mike recently rented a 2,200 square foot Italian restaurant with his partner Ashley Hancock in the West Village, and he and his counter parts are presently working on several other commercial deals in addition to maintaining a busy residential rental business. What sets the Hancock/Blass team apart is that they handle all aspects of the Real Estate business and can assist a client regardless of their specific needs. |
