| Raised in an entrepreneurial hospitality family in Sicily, Italy, Maria Ienna Springer knows how to read what people need and want in a home, and how to make sure the deal goes smoothly through closing. And her clients make a friend and have fun along the journey.
“I believe in being honest and straight forward, learning what a client sees as beautiful and only showing homes that fit their vision, be it a rental intended for a couple of years or a home they’re buying for a lifetime,” says Maria. “Sellers know that I work to price their homes accurately for the market and work hard to achieve a deal that closes to their satisfaction.”
Born and raised in Sicily, Maria graduated from the University of Palermo with a degree in Economics, while helping to run the family hotel enterprise of more than 20 buildings, before then going on to earn a license in Rome to trade financial products. After her first career in finance, Maria sought the challenge of a larger city, moved to New York City, learned English and began bartending in fine dining restaurants across Manhattan.
Through the variety of people she met in her restaurant role, Maria began to see the importance of real estate in people's lives, particularly in New York City. With the joy she found in her adopted city and her energetic, people-centered personality, Maria decided real estate sales and rentals would be a good fit. Her clients agree: many have become friends, having enjoyed what can be a stressful process, and recommend working with her whole heartedly.
Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English, Maria helps buyers, sellers and renters from all over the world find and sell homes. She credits her love of food, wine, cooking and New York with her success in real estate, which is ultimately about helping people achieve their desired lifestyle.
Since moving to New York, Maria has lived in many in-demand neighborhoods of Manhattan, including Hell’s Kitchen, the Lower East Side and Columbus Circle, giving her first-hand experience to guide clients new to the city or a particular part of town.
